Down...Set...HIKE

Spencer is playing tackle football this year and loving every minute. I personally think that the practices are intense (at least for a bunch of kids) - three 2 1/2 hour practices a week, rain or shine, hot or cold. After the first week of 100 degree weather, it was nice to have practice in 80 degree weather.
Spencer was very excited to be able to wear full pads and finally start learning how to tackle this week! It will be fun to see how he tackles real people instead of foam pads!

Exer-Elise

Elise loves to play in her "Exersaucer". She thinks she is finally one of the big kids - she is upright and able to watch them run around her. If only could stay small...

First Day of School

Spencer and Ethan are officially Back to School! Of course, Tanner and Dallen think they are going back too, so it makes it hard when the bus leaves and they are left standing there (it's a pretty sad sight).
So far, Spencer and Ethan are enjoying being back...however, we will see what they say after a few full weeks of school!

Summer Fun in Seattle

We had a lot of fun while in Seattle...here are some highlights of the trip!

The boys loved playing at the tidepools. The loved digging around in the rocks looking for crabs and other creatures from the deep.

Tanner was very impressed with Grandpa's Boat - he says it can go 500 MPH - "that's even faster than a NASCAR"!

A picture of the boys at Snoqualmie Falls - and a picture of the Falls. They were pretty impressed that there was so much water - but the best part was taking turns riding in Grandpa's car there and back (not pictured).

At the Seattle Center, there is a huge fountain. The boys decided to test their bravery by going down to touch the fountain while the water was down. The minute it started back up - they ran back up the hill (I don't blame them - a lot of water shoots out, and it is cold water).

Dallen loved playing outside - but keep running into Roady trouble. Everytime he walked around, he got sticky petals stuck to the bottom of his shoes. He spent a lot of time picking off the petals.
We all miss the trees, water, family and friends. We do plan to come back to stay, but for now we live in the land of Oz!

Water Art

One of Spencer's chores is to water the garden...he always has a way of leaving his mark!
